DWDM stands for Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing. It is a technology that allows a high number of simultaneous wavelengths (channels) to travel over the same optic fiber, thus enhancing the capacity of the fiber. The combination is possible by using passive optical filters (mux/demuxes). There are currently 45 DWDM channels being mostly used in the 100GHz ITU grid spacing. We have transceivers available for all these channels with Digital Diagnostic Monitoring features for 10G data rate per channel.
