PoE Extenders
PoE extenders are devices that are capable of extending a TP copper span and provide PoE further than the 305ft limit. All PoE extenders are IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at compatible. They can be cascaded until virtually there is no more PoE power left to supply a new extension hop.
The PoE extenders receive PoE power from a PSE device (like PoE switch or injector) on one "IN" port and forward the Gigabit Ethernet data on the other "OUT" ports, while distributing the existing PoE power among connected remote PD devices.
